Josep Carreras to open the Festival Jardins de Pedralbes in Barcelona on 20 June

Josep Carreras will sing the opening concert of the Jardins de Pedralbes Festival in Barcelona, at the Pedralbes Royal Palace Gardens, on 20 June, 10pm.
He will share the stage with italian soprano Gladys Rossi and David Giménez conducting the OG Orchestra, the Symphonic Orchestra of the Girona region, conducted by David Giménez.

The concert includes classic songs of the Broadway repertoire and the cinema, with pieces of composers as Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jerome Kern, Leonard Bernstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, George Gershwin, Nino Rota and Henry Mancini, among others.

Tickets will be go on sale tomorrow, 16 April, 12pm, and can be purchased online.

Josep Carreras will perform at the Festival de Carcassonne next July, 5, 2023 .   The concert will take place at the Théâtre Jean-Deschamps . The tenor will be accompanied by the Simfònica del Vallès Orchestra conducted by David Giménez . Tickets can be purchased here .
